NORDVAKT
A RESPONSIVE IDENTITY BUILT FOR THE NORTH.
NORDVAKT is a self-initiated brand identity and motion project for a fictional Nordic outdoor brand. Inspired by shifting weather, protection and movement, the visual identity combines a bold mountain symbol with a restrained, monochrome art direction.
The motion system was developed across both desktop and mobile formats to create a consistent brand experience across different screens.
DESIGNED FOR MOTION
FOUR PARTS. ONE MARK.
The NORDVAKT symbol was constructed from four geometric components, each designed to enter the frame from a different direction. Moving in from above, below, left and right, the individual parts lock together to form a unified mountain mark.
This modular construction allows the identity to transition naturally from static design into motion, reinforcing the brand’s ideas of structure, protection and control in shifting conditions.
The symbol was designed in Adobe Photoshop and animated in Adobe After Effects, using individually separated components and custom keyframe animation.
